Rebuild
You know what nobody tells you about rebuilding? It doesn't start with a hammer and a vision board. It starts with one random Tuesday where you made a decision — and didn't second-guess it once.
For me, rebuilding snuck up on me in the quiet moments. The almost embarrassingly small ones.
Like when loneliness showed up with its whole argument — and I didn't engage. Or when I felt the pull toward an old pattern and just… kept walking. Or when I had something to prove — and chose peace anyway. Saved it to drafts. Closed the app. Unbothered and documented.
Those little choices? They're bricks. They're literally the foundation of the woman I'm becoming.
Rebuilding, like much of the ‘growing’ journey, isn't pretty. It's not giving "look at me thriving." It's giving: "I'm holding it together with prayer, lip gloss, and this boundary I set 15 minutes ago."
It feels shaky some days. It feels slow. It feels like you're taking two steps forward and then tripping over your own feelings. But each time I choose clarity over chaos… each time I choose peace over patterns… I can feel something inside me standing a little taller.
Rebuilding is emotional because you're finally admitting to yourself: "I deserve a life that fits me. Not the old me. Not the shrinking me. This me."
And here's the funny thing… You don't need a whole plan. You don't need a 72-step rebuild strategy. You just need one honest decision at a time.
That's it. That's how the new life forms — quietly, slowly, with a few tears, some laughter, and a whole lot of "Lord, please just guide me today."
If you're in your own rebuild season, just remember… you don't have to know everything. You just have to keep walking forward — one real, grounded choice at a time.
That's rebuilding.
